Started with a short and informal interview with the recruiter, Jarvis, who not only laid out the expected process clearly but also had the insight into my career and abilities to suggest that I might be better suited for a separate role. I agreed, and a few days later it was on to the hiring manager. Which was extremely difficult because I think we had differing expectations of what is expected of a "Solutions Architect" - it is a broad title, let's be honest. I didn't progress, and although that was a shame it was also entirely understandable. What I really appreciated was the phone call soon afterwards. I was naturally disappointed but I felt that Jarvis handled the whole situation with professionalism and respect. The experience reflected well on New Relic and I will be considering them as future suppliers in a positive light.
