      I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at New York Life (Monroe, LA)

      Interview

      Initial interview to discuss company averaged an hour, online personality testing (hour long), skills testing, secondary interview to discuss potentional income (embellishment). Must submit two years tax returns, documentation from former emoloyer that you have never sold insurance and gained profit before, fingerprint background check, credit check (any discrepenscies must be cleared up prior to employment), if not licensed in life & health...must do so before hired, must submit name and contact information for 200 people during contracting stages, must attend all training and regional meeting during contracting (do not get paid and can take 60 days), then must sell min 5 contracts to be considered an employee and min $6000 in premium before initial payroll. From first interview to payroll trigger....average is 4-6 months of work done for free

      We are commission based with bonus incentive program. There will be many months that you may not receive a payroll check at all. Are you financially able to endure the requirements of paying for marketing materials and traveling to meet with customers if you have a no payroll month?

      Long process. Be prepared to be uncovered wide-open. Extensive back ground check. They claim to pay a salary, but the allowance is more like a drawl. The allowance is equivelant to slightly above mimimun wage. You would need a part-time job to survive or another side-hustle.
