      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Nextbite

      Interview

4 rounds of interviews plus a take-home project for a $60k job with no room to negotiate. I found everyone at Ordermark incredibly professional and friendly. I enjoyed meeting them and learning about the company. I received an offer but declined for 3 reasons: 1) Zero room to negotiate comp. That didn't sit well with me. 2) There was no clarity on what the role would be or what the day-to-day would be. I understand start-ups are fast-paced and involve broadening the scope of your work, but no would could clearly state what I'd be doing daily. If it was anything like the project I received, it would have been very admin heavy and not collaborative, which also did not sit well with me. 3) I was pressured and very rushed to make a decision. I was given less than a day to think about the offer. Interview Process: 1) Initial call with HR to discuss the role/your fit. ~15 min 2) Call with would-be supervisor, a few questions about fit. ~20 min 3) Excel take-home project with some questions due at round 3. Meet with 3 people (separate zooms) about the role. STAR questions asked. Each call 15-20 min. One person discusses the project with you. 4) Final round ~10 min call with VP to sell you on the role and your chance to ask any final questions
