      Project Manager Interview

      Sep 24, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Nextbite in Jun 2021

      Interview

Don't waste your time. They do not respect their candidates. I interviewed with Ordermark starting back in June. The process started off smooth with 2 rounds of interviews. I was then verbally offered the job by the hiring manager but told HR would take a week to formally offer. I followed up multiple times and waited over 2 weeks to find out HR wanted to offer me SIGNIFICANTLY below the salary range we had already discussed. They said they would get back to me within 24 hours with an update and I never heard from HR again. The hiring manager then reached out over a month later in a panic needing to urgently talk. The person they ended up hiring a month ago was already quitting. She offered me the role again at the salary we had discussed over 2 months prior. I was still extremely excited to join the team and that everything was going to work out. Then they ghosted me again. No formal offer and just stop responding to my outreach. RUN as fast as you can. I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I truly feel like I ended up dodging a bullet. If they treat candidates in this manner I really cannot imagine how they treat employees.

      Interview

Job has been open for a few months. Process begins with a phone screen with the recruiter, then a second phone screen with a hiring manager, then 2 panel style interviews. You're expected to do a 2-3 hours take-home assignment which will ask how you can improve the company but they do not look at it or have you go over it in the interview. There is no agile framework in place to stay organized. This would be a great role for someone who is well organized without sprints/user stories.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Nextbite in Nov 2021

      Interview

Process began with 15 min recruiter phone screen, seemed mostly to gauge salary requirements as they told me all about the company rather than ask me many questions. Next was (the following day) a 30 min hiring manager phone call which was fairly routine as well. After that was a loop interview with 3 team members, which they had to spread across 2 different dates. THEN, 2 weeks later a 1 hour video case study with the same hiring manager. Finally another 45 minute interview the following week with a Vp. The recruiter stayed in touch throughout the process and was quite helpful, all the interviews were timely and people gave their honest opinions on what they really needed. negatives included: recruiters calling out of the blue to ask about interview scheduling, rather than send emails or give a heads up about their calls. After several rounds and time spent, recruiter left a voicemail stating I would not be getting an offer, minimal feedback.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nextbite (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2021

      Interview

My advice to Ordermark would be that since your interview process is so intensive be more considerate by scheduling interviews on one day where the applicant has the option to take the day off work and do all interviews back to back. This is a fairly common practice My advice to interviewees would be that you prepare yourself to interview for 8 total hours spread out over two weeks and do 2 hours of homework. My experience: The interview steps changed multiple times after talking with the recruiter. Also the interviews themselves were rescheduled multiple times resulting in tons of zoom links all around. All in all I ended up doing 1 - 2 hours of homework in addition to 7 hours of interviews. Had I gone on there would have been 1 more hour of interviews.
