Recruiter comes back, Tells me they can't get a hold of the hiring manager and I should consider that a dismissal and apply for something else.
So yeah, ghosting is acceptable practice at Nomura, even after being strung along for nearly 5 months, as is lying to people. Don't bother. There's very little difference between you applying and not applying and they do not respect your experience nor your time - and they're too unprofessional to reject you.
