2 rounds - HR round then hiring manager round. Standard fit questions + sharing some market views. Nothing that will jump out at you. Interviewers were very sharp but also cordial.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nomura (Philadelphia, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
Interview process consisted of an HR phone screen, a first round interview with the Team Lead, and then an in-person superday with the head of the division and 2-3 other employees. The superday is in their Philadelphia office and the firm reimbursed me for the gas to drive there. All of the interviews are behavioral although a few interviewers asked about my thoughts on the overall market and how I would allocate an investment portfolio. Know your resume inside and out, and ask thoughtful questions.
The people at this firm are exceptional and I really enjoyed meeting all of my interviewers, but the compensation, benefits, and career opportunities are better at other firms.
