I applied online. Then about 2 weeks after, I received a phone call to set up an interview at the store. When I got there it was a group interview process so I had to wait in the lobby for about 10 minutes or so. Then a woman came to get me, and one other woman that was waiting as well, and we went back to another waiting area. We only waited about 5 minutes. The woman came to get me again and she took me into a room that had several silver curtains hanging up all over the room. Other people were being interviewed behind these curtains. She took me back to our own silver curtain cubicle and asked me several questions like, "Why do I want to work for Nordstrom" and, "What's a situation where you had to go above and beyond for a customer", and similar questions such as those. I felt very comfortable and had no problem whatsoever answering the questions because they are pretty much common sense questions. She told me quickly about the hourly pay and commission, asked me if I had any questions and then asked me to return on Monday for a second interview with the department head for the designer section in women's apparel. She let me know that I would be asked several "situational" questions involving the products and how to sell them.
