I had a phone interview with Hr in about 3 days and then an in-person interview with the Nordstrom Cosmetics Manager. It was all pretty basic, make sure your make-up matches the line you are applying for and you know about the other lines as I was offered to interview with three cosmetic lines hiring not just the one I was applying for. I then had interviews with the each cosmetic line account managers and those were much more detailed about handling staff, inventory, sales, scheduling, events, etc. they were a little over an hour. I choose the cosmetics line I liked and the account manager had me do a make-up application test on her. I had used the line for many years so I knew it well, but make sure to know the process they use and the basic products, it really helps.

First I had a phone interview from someone in the US, then I attended a career type fair where I met with the Department Manager and the different cosmetics brands, after that I was called in for a "second interview" which wasnt an interview after-all they just called me in to tell me I got the job.

Rarely simple, They go thru your experience and ask question about it. They want to make sure your customer service oriented. Will ask you how you've dealt with an irate customer and changed the situation around. Have questions ready, google and learn a little about the line you have applied for.
