I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nordstrom in May 2014
Interview
I applied online and submitted an optional cover letter. A few hours later I received an email asking me to fill out additional information for my online profile and complete an online ethics survey. The next day I received an email asking to set up a phone interview for the following day. The phone interview was roughly 10-15 min, simple questions about my work experience etc. At the end of the interview, I was asked to come in the following day for an in-person interview. I then interviewed individually with two different managers, back to back, and was asking to come in for an additional interview with the store manager the following morning. All of the interviews were again, simple questions about work experience, customer service, how you work with others, etc. I received an offer 3 days later.

Question 1
What would you do if a customer asked you a question and you did not have an answer for them?
So easy, I went to a job fair and was hired on the spot. They need people in the kids department, that's the easiest section to get into. They just ask about your personality and who you are.
Was inside Barton creek mall, hiring manager was prompt and clear with questions ranging from how I would handle difficult customers, to my personal experiences that could apply to the job.
