I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Cerritos, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Interviewed by management. Nice, open, and understanding. They took me into the HR office and asked my questions and my availability. I didn’t receive an offer right there but I received a call a few hours later.

They would ask questions about times you would go above and beyond to help customer or a time a customer returned an item.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2025
Interview
Very standardized interview with the department manager, all behavioral questions, was a little repetitive. Only one interview round. Make sure to ask about commission payout because it differs by department.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself/walk me through your resume. Do you have any sales experience?
Very simple, just an online interview followed by in-person. Asked about past experience and situational questions dealing with customers. Nothing too hard but always remain customer-oriented. Got my offer the following day and started the following week.
Straightforward questions but will ask a lot of scenario questions! No need to be intimidated just be yourself and be truthful when answering questions. They want to see if you’re a good fit not only for sales but for the company and their values.
