Many time hiring managers do not give equal or fair opportunities especially regarding previous experience requirement to more desirable positions. My experience is in acute care setting for many year on a very demanding hospital floor. They would tell me my interview was great, they like me and will follow up, then I get an email saying they found someone more qualified. Then I found out that someone worked same floor as I am and did not have previous experience neither in the job applied for. If they already has a favorite in mind then why waste my time to come in for interview.
