I applied through Northern Trust's website for the Senior Analyst Investment Operations position on June 14 or 15, 2016, a day after I got a text from NT inviting me for an initial assessment and exams on June 17, 2016. I was interviewed for 15 to 20 minutes and took the 2 exams (I.Q test and excel exams). The interviewer told me that he will refer me to the Senior Analyst - Financial Reporting group since I have a college classmate there and my qualifications are more suitable in that position. After the exams, the interviewer checked if I passed the exams. I asked him what would be the next step and he told me that my I will be informed for the schedule of hiring manager after a week. I asked him if I passed the exams and he said yes. 2 weeks have passed but I haven't received any updates from them. I texted the interviewer last week (June 27, 2016) and asked him about any updates regarding my application but I didn't receive any reply. I asked a friend about the hiring process since he is currently working in the reverse reconciliation team. He told me that his application took about 3+ months since NT was just starting that time. So I dont know if I'm still waiting in vain or what. I hope they could speed up the hiring process or tell the applicants directly if they are qualified or not just like in other companies which give regret letter if the applicant is not qualified or not chosen for the position.
