I applied through other source. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Northern Trust (Bengaluru) in Jan 2010
Interview
Northern trust interview process involves a four step procedure. The first round generally involves a round of group discussion.
The second round of the interview process is the Skills Test/ Aptitude Test. The shortlisted candidates of the first round are here tested on various areas like logical reasoning, analytically solving cases and communication.
The shortlisted candidates from the second round then make it to the HR round. Here it mainly involves having a detailed discussion with the Human Resource/ Talent Acquisition team of Northern trust. Word of advice for the job seekers here " Do not overdo while trying to impress the HR team, else it works the negative way! "
The shortlisted candidates then make it to the last round of the interview process, which is the 1:1 interview with a Divisional Manager. This round mainly focuses on testing a candidate's general knowledge of the financial services sector and concepts. Another word of advice for the freshers here " Never claim to be proficient in financial concepts that your are not aware of, as it makes the discussion a dirty one! "
