I applied online to a few positions I was somewhat overqualified for, but not too badly. I had a phone screening with an HR person, then an in person interview, which was a 2 on 1-style interview. After describing my experiences and my education at a prestigious university, which were clearly more than enough for the position, they sounded very excited and happy and as I walked out of there, I thought for sure I had gotten the position. However, a week went by with no response so I contacted the manager I had met with. She said they were still finalizing decisions. Another week went by and I got a cold silence. I don't know what could have gone better in this interview process. They pulled a complete 180 from everything they had been telling me earlier in my interviews. They waste your time and don't even dignify quality candidates with any response as to why they weren't selected. I suggest applicants should look elsewhere, this place misleads you and treats you like dirt. They smile and pretend they value your experience and skills, but it's all just an act. Even when you clearly meet and exceed their requirements, they will still reject you for no reason. The salaries they were offering were also notably below market standard by a good 20k per year...
