The process was kind of strange. First interview with the recruiter, normal. Next interview with someone in sales ops? Next interview with head of sales (he wore a baseball hat, a t shirt, and never looked at the camera). They also said they are trying to hire people from the industry and teach them to sell (head of sales doesn’t have a sales background). I don’t usually find hiring sales people without sales experience to typically work well.

First round was with a recruitment specialist. They were very friendly and gave an overview of the job and asked one “tell me about a time” question. The next step would be an interview directly with the CEO.

Interview
I received a message from a recruiter on Linkedin who was impressed with my resume and performance metrics at my current position as the top performer on my team for the past 3 quarters. The recruiter said the salary is a $300k OTE with 50/50 split. I decided to get connected with a rep at Northspyre, who cancelled our appointment 0 minutes before we were supposed to meet. We got the appointment rescheduled for a later date, and I was told a much lower salary than the recruiter had messaged, which was less than what I'm making at my current position. Needless to say, I took time out of my workday, two days, just to realize it was a bait and switch situation.
