Are they looking for some kind of a "magic bullet"? But they're no OpenAI or Nvidia or something like that. I knew that I was taking a risk by applying, because their product is just OK, it's not a must have for any development company, just a nice to have and if you ask them themselves, difficult to sell. They made me jump through way too many hoops, interview with 2 recruiters, then enablement, then sales director, twice, with 2 weeks in-between, then again a "panel" to which only 2 of the same people showed, asking me to sign an NDA prior and giving me a huge assignment the instructions of which they completely through out of the window during the "panel" call (it was supposed to be a role-play, they just let me read my doc, disappointing and inane). They made me wait for the panel another week, and ghosted me after for 10 days or so just to give me a lame excuse "we stopped hiring." I should've read the red flags during the interview - like the recruiter praising me over the top while the actual interviewers showing generally positive signs but not asking common questions like trying to understand why would I be willing to switch from my current successful position, what do I want to achieve next in my career, etc. Lack of interest in me. I have proptech experience too which they told me most of their candidates don't. Anyway, I think this company is cooked, you don't do hiring process this unprofessionally unless you're either totally dysfunctional or desperate to "hire the one guy" without having the actual pull with your product or conditions you're about to offer in JD. I did learn something, how to vet the interview process myself. I usually get my jobs by referrals or by knowing someone in the company, this is a remote-only startup, so many things are more difficult to read, and I trusted the process, never could image them being so lame. Matt Wood, Sales Director, extremely unprofessional, I wouldn't want to work under him, I'm sure it's a chopping block on their team. And the recruiter is just beyond any pale, Anna Russell. Don't work with either one.
