First there was a scheduled call conversation with a recruiter. We talked for about thirty minutes and at end we scheduled a time for me to meet their boss. I went for the in person interview and ultimately was extended an offer and given homework to be handed in at the next official step of hiring.

You'd hope that an insurance brokerage would be legitimate in their hiring. This one requires you to give them a list of warm contacts to sell to, aka, your friends and family. I cancelled my interview with them once I realized that my business book and personal contacts were going to be the exact same with this company.

Super basic interview questions, run of the mill kind of stuff. Because they're gonna hire you. Because you're 100% commission, and you're expected to work your "personal network". Why not just work at an MLM?
