I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual in Aug 2010
Interview
Interview was very informative and really gave an in-depth background of the position and the company. For a corporate work setting, the vibe was very relaxing and inviting. The recruiter was young but gave you a sense of experience. Intern position's are only available to those currently enrolled in school and being a recent graduate, this wouldn't work. The process eventually would be a 3 step hiring process over a span of weeks.
Straightforward process, interviewed with them on campus. They provided the information I needed. I decided to not move ahead with the interview process as it did not align with my goals, but the interviewers were cordial and professional.
Felt like they were selling me something the whole time. Super easy to talk to, but something just felt off the whole time. Had multiple phases of them explaining why they're so perfect and great to work for (massive selection bias in some of their numbers)
