HR is very slow moving, so the faster way into the University is via the Temp Center. They do a general intake, then a quick in-person interview. You simply apply for jobs you are interested in online, and the Temp Center helps to match you to openings. Not every position will be temp-to-hire but this hiring method loophole is well-known by managers.

Describe your career up to this point. Tell me about a time you had a difficult customer and how did you handle that situation.
Went well, then was completely ghosted. I just wanted a solid no answer, and in the interview I was told I would get that. I sent one follow up email to HR and never received a reply.

The interview process is not very lengthy depending on the department you are applying for. You do meet with several people to ensure that you are capable of handling all of the tasks that they will give to you. It was pretty laid back for the most part, although do come prepared with challenges that you have faced and know how to be a problem solver

There was an initial Zoom interview with the staff, followed by a final interview with the PI. Overall it was a pretty quick turn-around and not too difficult of an interview.
