I applied through other source. I interviewed at Notable Health
Interview
1) Screening with a recruiter
2) Timed take-home assessment using React and Node.
3) 1:1 zoom call to expand upon the assignment. I had it working correctly on the front end but had some trouble implementing the correct solution in the heat of the moment. For the posts requests, I needed the body parser for Express in order to get the data.
I was told "don't worry it's going to be collaborative" and the guy just watched my flail at the end. I actually figured it out 10 minutes after the interview and sent it in the solution with no reply.
I was told as long as I had javascript fundamentals they would take me in and learn the back-end aspects. During the interview, they said they wanted more back-end leaning candidates. Why give a React heavy assessment only to be told this role is back end leaning? There seemed to be a miss-match between the recruiter and the interviewer.
