I applied online. I interviewed at Notable Health in Jan 2025
Interview
Standard recruiter screen to agree to salary range and basic stuff. Next had a live coding session, the guy kept telling me it will not work and I showed him how it works however he failed to understand some of the working or probably my fault for not simplifying the code. Either ways got a rejection email stating other candidates are better aligned for this position.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Notable Health
Interview
Recruiter call, technical screen, virtual "onsite".
Recruiter call and technical screen simple enough. Everyone was very nice and helpful throughout.
Virtual onsite contains a number of sessions that covers cultural to more technical interviews.
This was somewhat annoying and IMO (this is a personal review after all) this is where personal experience can destroy you. Know too much about implementing something similar? Don't do it.
The feedback I got in one of the code/technical portions of the onsite was that it was "too complex" and wouldn't "be scalable". From my experience, it's not and it is scalable. In fact, (excuse me for my holier-than-thou tone here) my approach was simple enough to write in a 50 minute interview and is used by well-established libraries that get 10M+ weekly downloads on npm, but maybe I'm just not adequate enough *shrug*.
Either way, the recruiter was helpful and nice, although I think scheduling a phone call for a rejection is absolutely unnecessary. Just reject, provide reasons, and let everyone move on.
