The interviewers were quite friendly, and they gave me a tree-related question. I was able to explain my approach, but it seemed the interviewer was looking for a specific solution he had in mind. After discussing my approach for a while, he agreed to let me write the code. Then, he asked me to optimize it further, but I couldn’t think of any additional optimizations at the time. Unfortunately, I was not selected. I’m not sure if Nutanix uses such tree-level optimization code in their daily work or if it was just part of their interview process.
