Time consuming process with several calls. The recruiter’s enthusiasm doesn’t translate when you speak to someone in the team. Inexperienced interviewer, and candidate selection processes not aligned to interviewer’s needs

Asks you to do a live calculation of unit economics during the interview
I applied online. I interviewed at Ocado Group in Sep 2023
Interview
Very bad management of the recruitment process, particularly poor communication, no clear outline of the different stages of interview and next steps and very late response and feedback, if at all. I applied and suddenly after four weeks received an email that set two interview dates for me without asking for my availability. The interviews were with the line manager and a team member and focused on skills, values and a business case. The two people were very positive and nice and the interviews were in a very good atmosphere. Following the interviews I received a short feedback and was invited to take an assessment general abilities test. After the test I haven't heard back and had no reply to emails I sent asking for a feedback and status update and then, three weeks later I received a generic rejection email. I believe a company like Ocado must improve their communication with potential candidates to promote their brand and in general to provide better experience to candidates.
