I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ochsner Health in Apr 2024
Interview
I applied online and a few days later, I received an email requesting my availability for a phone screen. Later on that same day, the recruiter emailed me again stating the hiring manager will be reaching out directly so I can disregard the phone screen request. I responded to that email asking for the salary range. The recruiter called me and stated it is against company policy to provide salary ranges to candidates but I - as the candidate - can provide what I'm looking for and she'd let me know if they can "do that number". I asked if I can work remotely from my state and she confirmed I could and listed the states they don't allow employees to work from. When I informed her of the salary transparency law in my state, she all of a sudden began singing a different tune and stated that Ochnser doesn't hire candidates from states with salary transparency laws. This means if you live in a state where an employer is required to share salary or compensation details, they will not move forward with your candidacy. I was then told that they will not move me forward in the process. I received a rejection email shortly after.
I had three interviews - phone screen, virtual interview w/ the hiring manager, and lastly a virtual interview with a Sr. Comp Analyst and the Director. The interviews were very conversational, and everyone was easy to talk to. The interviews were all scheduled quickly, and the recruiters were very responsive and very personable.
