I feel somewhat the on the fence as part of the process was great, and part of it left a bad taste in my mouth.
The process was quite long, but felt thorough and unlike many other companies, it seemed that they had taken steps to ensure it was unbiased. I appreciated the opportunity to present my work and to participate in multiple whiteboarding exercises, rather than just rounds of behavioral questions.
I had multiple phone interviews as well as a lengthy onsite interview. Given the many steps and many hours spent both in interviews (as well as preparing for interviews) and the initial enthusiasm & graciousness they showed, I was disappointed and truthfully a little annoyed when I waited a number of weeks for a final response (I don’t know when/if it would have come had I not followed up) and a pretty cavalier rejection (maybe sounded worse in writing than intended??). Given all the time spent, I was at least hoping I’d merit a response back when I asked for feedback, but nah. Disappointing end for a process that felt refreshingly professional and considerate at the beginning.
