      Downey, CA

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Old Navy in Oct 2013

      Interview

I applied online and received a call about two days later, where the manager asked me pretty much just one question "What makes you awesome?" After giving what I considered to be a good answer, the manager wanted me to come in the next day at 1pm to interview in person, but I couldn't, so she had my come in at 9am. The manager who was there at 9am (not the same one I spoke to on the phone) clearly wasn't expecting me, but she was very nice and said she could interview me anyway. We went to the backroom where she asked me general customer service questions. She had a piece of paper that looked like a generic form they must use to interview candidates. She said right away that she really likes me and definitely wants me to come back for orientation. I wasn't actually sure what that meant, but she said I'd get a call later in the afternoon. After not getting a call, I called the next day and was told my background check was in process and they'd give me a call. Three days later they called me, set me up for orientation and I started at orientation day. They never made it very clear that I got the job, but I assumed orientation meant I did (and it does!). It was really easy. Just be yourself and smile :)
