I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Munich, Bavaria) in Jan 2018
Interview
Very professional, but with a personal touch.
The recruiting process ran incredibly smoothly. After applying online I heard back within a week. The HR team took care of all travel costs/booked me a hotel and flights. The whole process was incredibly well executed. I received an online case training session, as well as several phone calls to ensure my travel arrangements had all been met. Upon arrival at the hotel, there was a signed card, wishing me luck for tomorrows interview. The interview day ran smoothly as well.
Aside from the obvious execution what really made the process stand out was the clear communication from the start and the receiving same-day feedback and the outcome.
The interviews, 3 of 45minutes were split between a case and personal part. The cases were mainly based on financial services/energy sector, which is, after all, OW's speciality. It would be advantageous to familiarise yourself with P&Ls basic accounting, although for those with a non-finance background some lack of knowledge is more readily excused.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A time when you something didn't go to plan and there was nothing you could do about it. How did you respond?
The first part were two on-site same-day consecutive 45-minutes interviews with engagement managers, candidate-led cases with some behavioural questions as well. If selected to the second round, what followed was an online interview with a partner, mostly behavioural questions but also specific technical questions based on the feedback from the first round, in order to see if there was an improvement.

Question 1
How many passengers travelled through Paris airport (CDG) during the olympics?
First behavioral interview super annoying that it is 3 at once. Typical tell me about yourself and why oliver wyman. The interviewer seemed like already made up the decision and it was very uncomfortable to undergo the interview.
Did not recieve a callback.
There was an online assessment which tested mostly mental math and reading graphs. Then, there was a 30 minute case interview and a 30 minute behavioral. Fairly straightforward and standard, with the case being easier than average.
