I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (New York, NY) in Jul 2016
Interview
There is a 30-mins 1-on-1 "fit" interview followed by a 1-hour presentation case interview. The presentation case is broken into 2 parts: 30-mins of prep time and then 30-mins presenting in front of a partner. Lastly, there was also a 30-mins brain teaser/case. All interviews were conducted in a 3-hour period on a Monday evening.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How many airplanes fly in and out of LaGuardia every day?
it was smooth but you need to work hard on your calculations skills, i failed in this part of the case because the calculator is not allowed and i had not familiarize myself with it before the interview but overall it was a good experience
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
tell me about yourself, why consulting and the case question
I applied online. I interviewed at Oliver Wyman (Milan) in May 2026
Interview
Pre-selection with one mini-case/brain teaser of 30 min. Overall, the case was testing both numerical reasoning and logics I would say. If you prepare the mini cases correctly you can pass.
Interviewers never attended on time. Rescheduled 7 times. Cases were easy relative to other firms. They dont take candidates very seriously so prepare for that. Personal questions include why OW?
