One guy from a new IIM took my interview, he was recently hired as Associate Director one rank higher than the role they were hiring for, this guy might have done some online courses on AI, ML and was asking the obvious questions in the beginning - why accuracy is not a good metric, what is p-value, by the end I realized he has no or very little experience in deploying models into production. The kind of questions-answers which followed up post the interview, gave me a clear indication that I should have applied for the associate director role. I feel because I was not so hands-on those days might be the reason; I didn't receive a call back.
