I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Omni Hotels (Miami, FL) in Aug 2014
Interview
I filled out the online app around 2-3am after work one night. I got a call at 10a from HR, they proceeded to give me a proper interview since that time worked best. Then my second interview was with the previous chef. He was very professional and passionate. He described the property extremely well and also warned me about how rural Hot Springs really was. He directly approached the fact I had several jobs in a short period. I was honest and walked him through each position I held and either how I fell short or the company did. I then proceeded to explain I wanted mentorship. I had been in the career for a very long time and did not feel anyone had tried to train me appropriately just that they wanted me to sling hash. He explained his concern but also was glad to hear I was passionate about growth. I had a background check completed within a week. Drove 14 hours the next week to do paperwork. Took 2 weeks to move.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Omni Hotels (Fort Worth, TX) in Jun 2015
Interview
I went through five different interviews from HR all the way to the GM of the hotel. Every person I met with was very gracious, and spoke highly of the company and the people who work there. They genuinely seemed interested in why I was applying and what my goals were with the company. It was a good experience.
