* phone screen
* interview with hiring manager
* virtual interview day
** 2x presentations (one task and one case study)
Very frustrating experience overall. Had a reasonable screen and first interview. Asked to submit some availability for another interview - I submitted availability expecting another hour or so with another team member. On Thursday PM I received 8 hours of interviews for Monday & Tuesday, including a task and a case study. I didn't receive case study brief or task details until later on Thursday my time (Fri morning) so I had to prepare all of this over the weekend.
Had the presentation interview and the (total) 8 hours of interviews. Some were good, some were ok. I asked on the final interview if there was any red flags for me and the role and was told no and 'no doubts' for me and the role.
Then nothing.... weeks of silence. I chased a couple of times and was told they were still interviewing. After 4 weeks I chased for a final time (even though I knew that it wasn't going to be a positive result) and was told that they would not be offering and they were still interviewing.
Incredibly frustrating to put in 20+ hours of time and effort into short notice interviews to be ignored for 4 weeks and only rejected after numerous chasing emails. I really wish that companies that ask for so much input from candidates consider the mental impact of not responding as it's extremely disruptive, frustrating, and upsetting. It's fine to be rejected - it's not fine to ignore candidates that you ask so much from.
