The process took 5 days. I interviewed at OpenText (Hyderābād) in Nov 2021
Interview
1 hacker rank test with 2 programs( medium & easy difficulty) on Strings , Arrays
2 technical interviews with Team leads or Senior Automation engineer
1st round : All basic Java OOPs / collections /SQL/Selenium , API basics
Experience in Performance & Security Testing
Experience on CICD pipeline setup & code deploy process
2nd round : More on automation framework from scratch, explain FW structure, how to choose which framework ( data driven, BDD etc) suits your projects
How test data is maintained in FW
Agile best practices, how defects tracked in agile etc
Experience in Performance & security testing
3rd round : Techno-Managerial round
Questions depends on the technical expertise of manager ( Tip: check his/her LinkedIn and prepare)
I was asked on Java polymorphism concepts with real time examples & some SQL queries
Approach of testing during migration projects - how to test data is migrated successfully. how to reuse old scripts on new application, test coverage of new features + old functionality etc …
4th round : Director Round
I cleared all technical rounds & came till director round it was a 30 min discussion but I had bad experience
I understood the role they are looking for should have skills on Functional + Automation + Performance + Devops + security + database testing ,
I was cornered by director asking my experience on Nonfunctional testing . He asked to give nonfunctional testing scenarios for a loan application which has UI+ DB then asked to write some SQL queries on joins
I felt director round could have been more behavioral focused rather technical .
After 2 weeks follow up they rejected me for not meeting expectations of the role .
Open Text working model :
> I came to know that Dev to QA ratio is 5:1 and working on multiple assignments in parallel is expected as BAU
> In each project Dev does unit testing and code is given to QA
> QA is responsible to deploy code on tomcat servers and build CICD pipeline and do functional& non functional testing
> QA should be skilled in Devops + AWS + Functional/Nonfunctional testing

I applied online. I interviewed at OpenText in Apr 2022
Interview
I don't recommend it because my first interview was not pleasant.
It was just 30 min and a big part of the conversation was focused on why I relocated to Germany, what is my visa status, the differences between working in Germany and in my country, what is my current salary, etc. The interviewer asked follow up questions to understand until when my Settlement Permit is valid. What?
I myself interviewed many QA engineers recently and never was concerned about these things.
I feel like we didn't have time to discuss what really matter: the role, my experiences, how my experience could match their needs, etc.
I just withdrew my application after this interview since I want to proceed with it.
