Half an hour interview with four people, one was the current elected Auditor, the other three were auditors with Multnomah County or the City of Portland. Interview was friendly, cordial. I left feeling fairly good about the interview, but was not invited back for the second round. Clearly they put a premium on previous government performance auditing experience (as opposed to program research and program monitoring and evaluation experience). The independence of the government auditor is a strong value.
