Interview
The interview process took a very long time. I talked to multiple people, sometimes the same people multiple times, over a few months. It was difficult to schedule the interviews, and I did not get a sense of who I was talking to and why before each interview. However everyone was very nice, open and candid.
Long process but overall well worth it. Interviewed as an intern and surprised there was no phone interview but organic valley happily agreed to my request to visit after acceptance and was very accommodating.

Interview
Long; from recruiter interview to onsite, the process was 3 months. Kept needing to do phone interviews with two weeks or more in between last contact. I interviewed for what was described as an entry-level position but the experience and education requirements said otherwise. It felt as though they were trying to match candidates that meet all position criteria. Once there for an interview, I got a tour and then the first interview meeting started 20 minutes late. Most of the interviewer staff seemed distracted; many of them were on their phones or computers while I was meeting with them. It did not feel like a learning culture when considering the onboarding/team building process at the department level.
Some people I met with asked verbatim from a list of questions and took notes vs having a candid conversation with me so it felt very transactional. Other people I met with the conversation was more free-flowing with healthy debate on the current state of food production, education and availability.
The HR point of contact while on site was great to work with. They will reimburse you for hotel, mileage and gas so at least I am only out my time. I got a packet upon arrival that outlined many of the employee benefits offered that range from cafeteria on site to health insurance costs. Their office/campus is beautiful, well designed but the location can be a detractor as it's in a town of 1,000 people. La Crosse is still a 30-40 minute drive away so you need to be comfortable with living/working in a very rural area.

Interview
Overall a standard process. Started off with phone interviews with several members and then if they would like to move forward, they bring you on site where you spend the day interviewing with the team. The process took a few weeks, and the team really focuses on not only skill set but team fit. Overall great to meet the team and learn about products, but decided it wasn’t a good fit for me. Great company though!
