Complete ghosting - there were more than month intervals between interview steps. There was not any clear description about reject. Interviews were super easy and not challenging at all. Will try to avoid next time.

Question 1
Classic questions about working experience and hard skills.
My experience matches the others written here exactly. The individual managing the whole process was rude, emotionless, asked the same questions over and over, and would disappear for a week at a time.
Aside from those weird phone screens, the two employees I interviewed with were a delight! I felt a kinship with both of them, and they both felt that I was a strong match.
Despite this, after the second interview, some 10 days passed with zero communication. Then I saw the job reposted again. I contacted the recruiter, and they implied the job was given to someone else.

Question 1
Tell us about other pipelines you've built in the past.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Oura (Helsinki, Southern Finland) in Nov 2024
Interview
HR call -> team lead interview -> job-related assignment (scheduled a time and had a specified time-window to report back) -> technical interview -> meeting with a higher leader. The process went smoothly, I was always informed of decisions and next steps within a couple of days.

Question 1
Why is overfitting a problem in data science and how do you take that into account?
The interview process consisted of four separate interviews (the HR interview, a technical interview with the team supervisor, a non-technical interview with the supervisor of a closely collaborating team, and finally the department head) and a timed programming task. The technical interview and task were reasonably challenging. The communication interval was approximately one week.
