I applied online. I interviewed at Outreach in Dec 2016
Interview
I submitted an application online, then was contacted by a recruiter to set up an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager and I had a 30-minute phone conversation, which seemed to go well. I emailed the recruiter the following day saying I really enjoyed my conversation and inquiring about next steps. 2 weeks passed and I never heard anything back from the recruiter, so I sent her another email to follow up. No reply. Two weeks later I received a job offer from another company, but I was really interested in the role at Outreach so wanted to give it one final shot and sent the recruiter at third email. No reply. I think this is an unacceptable way to be treated by a company you are interviewing with. I gave Outreach hours of my time - the initial application process, thoughtfully and thoroughly preparing for my interview, and then speaking with the hiring manager about my background and interest in the role. The absolute lowest bar in my opinion is closing the loop with candidates you interview. All I'm asking for is a quick email reply that should take (at the most) 5 minutes of your time. Yes, that bar is low, and yes, Outreach did not meet it. I consider this very unprofessional.
