My interview was pretty standard. During the interview the recruiter asked good questions and genuinely seemed interested in my candidacy. I took three calls from the recruiter and at the end of each call, she clearly outlined next steps which included connecting me to the manager of that specific role, and also calling me back to get that set up.
Not once did I get a call or email back from her without me having to initiate it. I felt completely ignored despite the fact that while on the phone, specific next steps were outlined for me. I was never told that I did not get the job. The only reason I was able to get any sort of follow up is because I know someone at the company who was able to ask them to follow up. Even with a positive employee referral, I couldn't get responses without that employees help.
If someone from Outreach is reading this.. You are losing valuable candidates because your recruiters cannot properly follow up. It is really not a good look at all. Based on other reviews, it looks like I'm far from the only one who has experienced this. I'm genuinely shocked at my experience given the fact that you have such a fantastic product and culture. During these unprecedented times, a new job could be an absolute life-changer. Getting ghosted is a really disappointing way for an exciting opportunity to stall out.
