Long and inefficient. Applied online, endless emails, meeting with HR, then round 2, round 3 - a mock presentation. There were two more rounds after that but life is short and time is your most valuable asset. The mock presentation is a useless exercise and a huge waste of time. If you're not going to give them exactly what they want without them telling you what that is don't bother. Outreach looks like a really great company but if you believe like I do that the hiring experience is indicative of what you can expect if you join the company you know that this is all that matters. How far are you willing to go without compensation for a job you probably won't get unless you can read their minds and are a great actor. The brief given left a lot of room for interpretation that they didn't seem to want to accept and nothing about this seemed at all relevant based on my experience, which exceeds the condescending people who I allowed to waste my time. If you make it past the second round and you read the brief, if you think it's not right for you based on that don't waste your time. Based on my interpretation of it I didn't feel that it allowed me to demonstrate my fitness for this position. What you say no to is as important as what you say yes to and what you allow, continues so if this doesn't feel right, it's not. I'll never do a presentation as part of an interview again and I've accepted a position with one of their competitors. This is probably a better product but that isn't always the most important factor.

It's nothing as intense as other tech companies. I did 3 interviews and one business case. First with HR, then with the manager of the role, then with Piers, and finally, with a leader in the company. Most of them focused on my experience and way to address previous challenges.
