I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at P.F. Chang's (Chandler, AZ) in Dec 2017
Interview
Waited 20+ minutes after my interview time to be seen, and was given a application to fill out seperate from what I filled out online. As soon as I sat down with an interviewer, I was interrogated for my lack of availability (though more than half of my week was free) & lack of experience serving (told I needed 2 years). The interviewer asked me repeatedly if I wanted to be a host instead, & why I didn't just work at the other restaurant I had worked at in the past instead. Throughout this entire process, he was making slashes and writing negative marks throughout the application I just filled out. A few minutes in I knew I didn't want to work there, nor would I get the job. The bias questioning and looks of disapproval made me feel so devalued & appalled. Afterwards, I met with the manager I was supposed to meet with all along who was in contrast, very professional and gentle with letting me know I was not what they were looking for. This is not to discredit other locations as I have had completely opposite and amazing experiences at other P.F. Chang's.
