I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at P.F. Chang's (Brentwood, MO)
Interview
I originally filled out a paper application while I was having dinner with a friend who already worked there. It helps to have a reference from someone who works there, especially if that someone is a great employee like my friend was. They called back within a week and I met with the Hostess Manager. He was very honest about not having any openings for new hostesses, but I answered his questions honestly and I was given a second interview anyway. The second interview was with the Operating Partner (general manager) and while his questions were more specific to the restaurant instead of the position, I fielded them well. They called back about a week later to offer me the job and set up orientation and training.
