I applied for a position with PCORI in January 2021. I had an initial phone screen with an HR person, then a virtual interview with the person the position would report to, then another virtual interview with the team, followed by a chat with another HR person. They sent me HR documents to review, as well as requested a background check and references. At this point, you would expect to receive an offer -- I did not. I was then asked to complete a job simulation exercise, in which I had to pitch a campaign to them. About a week after submitting the work, I was told they were moving forward with another candidate. It doesn't seem like a good use of their time to take multiple candidates through that process. I wish they hadn't moved forward after one of the initial meetings, so that I wouldn't have wasted my time and would not have provided any ideas for their company. After a scan of their social media, I noticed they used at least one of the ideas from the deck I provided, so just beware of that possibility.
Also, after being told they were moving forward with another candidate, I followed up with a question for more clarity on their decision - which was never responded to.
