My interview was pleseant enough. Met most of the team I would be working with—back-to-back discussions—and my experience aligned perfectly with the job role as I had been in a similar role elsewhere. Team chemistry felt good, and I dug in deeper about their project painpoints and where we could seize opportunities. My resume and experience was poured over and everyone was excited to use my extensive background to relaunch internal initiatives. After the third conversation I was left to just...leave, no final follow-up from management. I sent my thank-you notice a couple hours after I left but received no reply. A week later, I received a generic "we're sorry...better candidates...try again" message. Really dissappointing considering I came in for an in-person interview and it went so well—it would have been nice to speak with someone on the phone for interview feedback and get more information besides "we have better aligned candidates".
