It started out fine with an HR phone screen and then a phone screen with the hiring manager. Where it went wrong was the on-site interview. I had multiple interviews ask me how I planned to commute to their office everyday and tell me that they didn’t think I could do it, The position was advertised as hybrid but I was informed that was not the expectation. Then I was asked very personal questions like “what is your home like?” “How old are your kids?”. What really made it a horrible experience is the fact that one of the interviewers said to me “you look like a person with tricks”. I’m not entirely sure what that meant or how it was relevant to my skill set. It was incredibly unprofessional.
