      Portfolio Analyst Interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at PENNYMAC in May 2026

      Interview

Interview process consisted of approximately four rounds and took about a month from start to finish. The final round was conducted in person at the office and included an Excel assessment earlier in the process. The interviewers were professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to speak with. My only criticism is the length of the process relative to the communication afterward. After investing significant time in multiple interview rounds and assessments, I would have appreciated a final update or rejection decision. Overall, they were a friendly team, but the candidate communication could be improved.
