Had the interview on the 2nd of August. Very negative experience. I applied through the recruiting agency. 3 rounds of interview. Behavioral, getting to know kinda deal, System Design interview a d coding challenge. The last one was the coding challenge. I nailed it. I was told that I can use Google for finding some methods or syntax, all they care is my problem solving skills but guess what ? They were picky on syntax after I solved 4 problems (mini coding challenges) Also I was rushed through not being able to finish writing the code , I was writing some pseudocode bc of I was rushed and the guy who interviewed me said it's ok but it turns out that he unfortunately misslead
the staffing agency about my interview and he was simply finding excuses. I wish the interview was recorded. He took advantage of the fact that it was not recorded. My question to the Pennymac in general. If you guys are experiencing recession, like many companies do right now, why do you waste people's time by interviewing them if you don't need additional force? That's sad really. I feel that my time was wasted and the staffing agency was missleead by the interviewer.
