I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at PIMCO (New York, NY)
Interview
Three rounds, one phone, one in person at the company with associates and then a super day composed of 6 interviews with both associates and senior people. Phone interview mainly to see if you follow the market and know about what is going on in the major economies. One on one is to discuss markets in more depth and super day is a mix of behavioral and technical questions
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
know duration, state of the economy, how you would construct a portfolio if given the money, have views on good investments given your views
After applying, I spoke to the hiring manager on the phone. This followed with an asynchronous Hirvue, then I had a first round with someone on the team. Finally, the second round was 3 30-minute interviews back to back.
Hirevue interview was fairly easy, they asked 8 questions, 1 was about FI, the others were mainly behavioral and the last was open ended. it wasn't hard, but you should know what is happening around the world.
long process. I met over 10 people in total for the process up to the final. Last is one of the APAC MD - interview itself is not technical and not difficult. Just an average question. During the whole process I met many Directors of sales, They are always asking me to ask questions, One time, the Head started to the interview by asking "is there anything you wanna ask?" So do prepare with lots of insightful questions that make you stands out.
