I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at POET in May 2020
Interview
A little overwhelming for an entry level position. No need for so many people involved in the first initial interview. Also, the process seemed disorganized, and a very drawn out process.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at POET in Jun 2020
Interview
After applying, I had a screening phone call with HR then a phone interview with the hiring manager. Both went well but I was informed that they typically were looking for people with direct experience while I didn't have any. However, they found my experience promising and decided to give me a chance. Was invited to a 4 hour long, in person interview. First interview was with the potential team - which was more of a panel interview and went well. Had an interview with a representative with HR which was pretty standard. Next was an interview with the President of the Division and I was unimpressed. He would ask questions and when I would answer, would proceed to cut me off. Tended to take the dated mentality of "always go above and beyond" and "you always need to be looking for something to do". Felt like there was not much support for a work-life balance. Final interview was with two higher level execs of the division. They were cold and uninviting. When asked how they celebrate team wins, they didn't have an answer. Also asked for feedback on my candidacy and they were "not comfortable answering that question," which makes me wonder how they handle feedback with their direct team members. I walked out of the interview not wanting to take the job if I were offered.
