Interview
Applied through the careers site and recruiter reached out to setup an initial video interview for the position. It was scheduled for 30 minutes but ran over an hour. Relatively standard questions... why do you want to work for the Company, why interested in the role, basic behavioral questions.
Recruiter said they would be in contact within one week regardless of moving onto the next step or not. It has been three weeks, and after two follow up emails still haven’t heard back.
Overall interview experience was neutral, but wouldn’t count on hearing back, which unfortunately seems to be their standard based on other reviews.
The interview process lasted for about a month and included several rounds with members of the team and leadership. Discussions focused on modeling, business approaches, and how I work with cross-functional partners. Each interviewer explored both technical skills and business judgment. The process was professional and gave good insight into the team, the role, and Paramount’s streaming strategy.
Standard interview process starting with an interview with a recruiter to gauge general interest, followed by an introductory call with a hiring manager and additional conversations with members of the team. General questions asked.

Interview
I applied on the Paramount site from a posting on LinkedIn and the recruiter reached out to me about a week later. Our phone screen was brief but informative and she let me know that she would speak to the hiring manager and get back to me. That same day she reached out to me set up the conversation with the hiring manager.
The call with the hiring manger seemingly went well with verbiage that implied I was good to go for next steps. She told me the recruiter would get back to me in a week or so with an assignment. I sent the recruiter a follow up message about a week later and it was radio silence, and also sent the hiring manager an email also radio silence.
I received a generic rejection for a “senior analyst” role that I never applied to a few days later. The job listing did not mention anything about the position being “senior”. The lack of professionalism was glaring in this instance.
