Why do you want to join? Tell me about your experience (asked some specific questions off of my resume). Solve this coding challenge. Coding challenge was a medium / hard difficulty on leetcode
The screen was run by a rude recruiting lead who asked me three different times to tell her my comp expectations first. For reference, the company maintains offices in multiple states that have passed pay transparency laws, including the one where I live.
She wanted a "high-level" overview of my career path, but despite simultaneously asking me to drill down into the specific technologies I worked with, she had no follow-up questions about my actual work experience -- instead showing more interest in asking me about why I left every engineering team I've ever been a part of. Including a layoff from 5 years ago, that happened when the pandemic started.
The recruiter ended the call by telling me she appreciated my time -- which was a lie, because actually respecting candidates' time is mutually exclusive with repeated attempts to drag them into a game of "guess how many jelly beans are in this job?"
