Interview
I knew the interview process was going to be a bit intense given the reviews here, but to be honest I had a pretty smooth experience, at least for the BME role. My recruiter was very responsive, and the manager very accommodating. Things were done in a pretty timely fashion, and best of all, Path AI does not set a 2 week deadline for accepting/start dates. For me that was a green flag.
- HackerrRank coding question (typically 1 hour but 2 hours is allotted)
- Recruiter call for background (30 minutes)
- Manager call for deep dive (45 minutes)
- Final interview set, each 45 minutes, consisting of
a) Live walkthrough of an ML problem + basic coding
b) Basic statistics and probability / hypothesis testing
c) Basic cell biology
d) Meeting with 2 or more team members to chat
e) Final behavioral with manager
My advice:
1. Prepare thoroughly for these interviews. Know your stuff.
2. It's best to be honest if you genuinely don't know something.
3. Ask questions. Often times the interviewers are looking for inquisitiveness.
Path Ai is pretty particular about who they onboard, so just put your best foot forward and demonstrate to them with examples what sets you apart.

Multiple rounds including a recruiter screen and a technical screen followed by "onsite," which included three technical rounds and an informal lunch with team members to get an idea of the day-to-day and company/team culture.
I interviewed across several weeks with calls from the recruiter, manager, and several additional staff members. They were very polite and helpful throughout the process with both the interview and the logistics of the entire process.
